I am a New Federalist I believe in James Madison’s call for a balance between the authority of the national and state governments, and Madison’s concern about “the abridgement of the freedom of the people” by the “gradual and silent encroachment of those in power.” I support the removal of the 17th amendment to put back in place the balance of the Republic.

I hate anyone calling our government a democracy.
