AGC Flat Glass plans temporary layoff of 100 Kingsport workers; closes Bridgeport, West. Va. plant

AGC Flat Glass North America today announced the layoff of 100 people at the Blue Ridge pattern glass plant in Kingsport and closure of its plant in Bridgeport, West. Va.
The company calls the Kingsport layoff a temporary action.
Temporary layoffs are usually ranked as six months to a year, but the duration depends on economic conditions.
